About: Invisible Places Project

Short and Initial Description:

Imagine walking through a place where the architecture can’t be seen. A place temporarily installed over somewhere else - geolocated over an empty field, a wasteland or a big garden. An invisible, discursive place. Inhabited by geographic coordinates that establish the limits of an informational architecture, and fragments of real and fictional histories. This is what Claudio Bueno suggests us experimenting with the project “Invisible places”. Using a geolocated mobile interface, people will be invited to visit an invisible place made of texts, sound and geographic coordinates received by the participants during their journey. This virtual place will be installed over a physical territory where people can wander around, discovering its many characteristics. Using the public sphere, mobile communication, internet 3G and GPS, Claudio Bueno is interested in relations among space, body and information.
